Multicultural lifeguards spread the safety message in Casey

A NOVEL training initiative aimed at increasing water safety awareness in Casey communities has led to lifeguard jobs for African and Afghan migrants at the city’s two recreation and aquatic centres.

Developed as a joint venture between the YMCA and Life Saving Victoria, the project’s first recruits are now on the job at Casey RACE in Cranbourne and Casey ARC in Narre Warren.
